ABOUT CAMBION

Epoflex® is a clear biomedical-grade viscoelastic polymer that absorbs and dissipates skeletal shock in a superior manner. It contains no latex, is anti-bacterial, and resists mold and mildew. Magister has merged this with a Poron® top cover that responds to foot shape during weight transfer to provide constant cushioning and even distribution of weight. This synergy of materials provides the core technology for the Cambion® line of products.

Cambion/Epoflex products make “The System”:

No Glue, No Fumes, No Waiting. Because these products are slightly tacky, they “merge” together allowing them to be moved or replaced to create effective accommodations quickly.

THE CAMBION SYSTEM

One of the many features of the Epoflex and Cambion system is the self-adherency of the Epoflex. This allows accommodations to be applied to the bottom surface of the insole to change the weight-bearing or to off-load.

When making accommodative pads, you can trial fit them, peel them off, and try again, without destroying the insole, or the patience of the patient. The Epoflex “melds” together to form a sturdy accommodative or corrective insole, yet can be repositioned without solvents, glue, fumes, or waiting!

You can either use pre-made components as is or alter them as needed. Tapered heel wedges, metatarsal pads, and arch pads are available in sizes and shapes to suit many needs. They stick directly to Cambion insoles without glue or solvents.

Custom accommodations can also be created using Cambion/Epoflex Sheets.

Cambion/Epoflex Sheets are available with two solid flat surfaces, as well as a waffle pattern on one side. They are also available in 1/8th, 3/16th, and 1/4th inch thicknesses.

This sheeting can be peeled to be modified and adjusted as required, over and over again, without glue, fumes, or waiting.

This is a truly unique material. It has excellent shock absorption, is latex free, anti-bacterial and mold/mildew resistance, and self-adhesive. It is ideally suited for podiatry and patient care ranging from injuries to diabetic ulcers. It is just tacky enough to stay in place inside patients’ shoes.
